Wanna be my sub? The Katt Ford Substack Project

Hi everyone!

As some of you know, I've been doing this for a long time. If you've been following me for a while, you know how I operate. I put out four short stories per week on Amazon, along with the occasional bundle or anthology which collects the shorter stories into one bigger book.

I do it because it works. I don't make a lot of money, but I have managed to turn my sexy fantasies into a healthy side income over the last decade or so.

I'm not going to stop doing that.

But we all know times are hard. One of the biggest complaints I get is from readers who don't think it's worth it to spend $2.99 on a story they can read in 15 minutes.

I do that because that's what Amazon's pricing structure encourages. But lately, I've been thinking about new ways to reach people and make my work more affordable - while still keeping it profitable for myself.

I've been thinking about Substack for a while now.

In case you don't know, Substack offers a subscription model that lets you support writers directly. In other words, you pay a monthly fee, and you get access to what I post.

Obviously, that makes me a lot less money than writing on Amazon. But if it exposes me to a wider audience, it could be worth it.

So, I am pleased to announce that as of today, I have a Substack!

I'm still figuring things out over there. Again, my followers will know I'm really bad at keeping up with a regular blog. Right now, I've only posted a few old stories to test the waters.

But going forward, I intend to split my efforts between Amazon and Substack. That means I'll be writing exclusive stories for Substack that won't be for sale on Amazon.

This will affect my Amazon production - after all, there are only so many hours in the day! But I hope I can keep producing at least 3 stories a week on Amazon while also producing new content on Substack.

It's going to be a challenge. And maybe it will fail, like other experiements I've tried in the past. That's really up to you guys. If I pick up a lot of subscribers, that's a signal to me that it's working. If people are reading and subscribing, I'll keep going!

If Amazon is costing you too much, Substack could be a cheaper way to read my work. If you prefer buying ebooks on Amazon, great! Keep doing that!

And if money's no object to you, why not do both? ;)

Ok, that's it for now. Head over to my Substack page, subscribe, and get sexy stories delievered straight to your inbox!
